Coys Bonanza, Music Mount, Snipper Reed bred mare. Jessie had a 2002 grulla colt and 2004 grulla filly by Joaker. "Jessie" is considered homozygous for the dun gene through progeny, which is the only way they can tell the dun gene to date. See the 2005 Foal page for her red dun filly. Jessie produced a beautiful Grullo colt in 2006 and a homozygous dun and homozygous black colt in 2008. Jessa was selected by AQHA in conjunction with U C Davis in the genetic research to discover the homozygous dun gene. Good home only after weaning. UPDATE: October 2003, Jessie is tied for second in broodmare class - in the IBHA National Standings! Placed sixth at the WBHA (Wisconsin Buckskin Horse Assn.), in Dun Factor and Reserve Champion in Broodmares for 2003.
