Sonnys Samanntha's dam, Zims Jo, a 1976 bay mare with three halter points and eight performance points. Sonnys Samanntha is the dam of Sonnys Chance Joaker, our grullo stallion. Sire is Zippos Gold Card. This same combination produced a 2001, 2002 & 2003 buttermilk dun fillies. Regal's DNA results have been completed. He is CR/cr = has one Cream gene. Coys Bonanza, Music Mount, Snipper Reed bred mare. Jessie had a 2002 grulla colt and 2004 grulla filly by Joaker. "Jessie" is considered homozygous for the dun gene through progeny, which is the only way they can tell the dun gene to date. See the 2005 Foal page for her red dun filly. Jessie produced a beautiful Grullo colt in 2006 and a homozygous dun and homozygous black colt in 2008. Jessa was selected by AQHA in conjunction with U C Davis in the genetic research to discover the homozygous dun gene. Good home only after weaning. Minx is put together very nice and has heavy correct bone structure. If she had two more socks she would be marked like her great grandfather, Sonny Dee Bar (pictured below)! Her grulla sire and grulla dam have also been shown in IBHA and received halter and dun factor points. Minx is the full sister to Jesta Smokin Joaker, 2006 Silver grulla colt. Minx should be a grulla producer if bred to a black or grulla stallion! To date, Minx's dam, Jesta Smokin Jessa is homozygous for dun factor.
